Description
An oil painting on canvas board measuring 18 x 14.
Ansteys Cove is an inspiration place frequently visited in my painting.
Not photographic but ethereal in nature, this painting looks at Ansteys almost silhouetted by a warm, golden sunset which is reflected on the glistening sand in the foreground. A little drama is added by the clouds bubbling up behind the rocks and the merest hint of wispy black clouds putting up a futile fight against the all embracing warmth of the setting sun.
The foam of the sea stretches out as if trying to catch some of the sun’s rays.
